Day Twenty-Nine - Becoming Becoming

be·com·ing
noun /biˈkəmiNG/
The process of coming to be something or of passing into a state

be·com·ing/biˈkəmiNG/

Adjective.

1. that suits or gives a pleasing effect or attractive appearance, as to a person or thing: a becoming dress; a becoming hairdo.
2. suitable; appropriate; proper: a becoming sentiment.

Through the changing power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus desires that I am, that we are, constantly becoming (noun) becoming (adjective).  Get it?

Yes, we have a part in the process. Mainly choices. Do I choose to behold Him that He may change me into His image?

Here are several versions of 2 Corinthians 3:18
English Revised Version 2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with unveiled face reflecting as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

Darby Bible Translation 2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord the Spirit.

American Standard Version
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit.

We become what we behold. I am becoming becoming as I choose to behold, to gaze on the glory of the Lord. I long for my ways and my walk with Jesus to be becoming of a savior like Jesus. He does the work, I choose to allow His work in my heart.

Beholding (Webster's)
BEHO'LDING, ppr. Fixing the eyes upon; looking on; seeing.
1. Fixing the attention; regarding with attention.

As far as the job search, today I had a face-to-face interview with a large, global company for a recruiter opportunity. I believe it went well, but you never know until you have the offer in hand, right? I believe God knows where He wants me. Most days, I don't have a clue, unless He shows me. ;-)

I still wish and hope and pray that I could make a living by doing what I love, which is photography and writing. Who knows, that could be in my future. Right now, going back into recruiting can pay the bills.

May we all be in the process of becoming becoming...
