Almost Bare

Almost bare,
Autumn must prepare
for Winter's chilly air,
a season when nature rests
and she invites us to invest
in stillness and slow down our pace;
to celebrate that life isn't a race
and to learn to live in the moment
and perhaps reinvent
ourselves, and not be discontent
during the intermissions
and in the transitions
between the seasons in our lives
as every change arrives.
As Autumn twirls happily in her letting go
may we learn the lessons and fully know
how to flow in the rhythm and design
created by a trinity, divine.

  2. Beautiful words to describe the passing of autumn. Your tree looks like the one in my backyard right now, only a leaf or two remains.
